About.

Camp David was originally established to offer HIKIDS youth groups the opportunity to learn and grow through an outdoor experience. This camp has given these kids a unique opportunity to leave their neighborhoods and connect with nature. Through this life change, HIKIDS is welcoming other groups to enjoy this beautiful campground and engage in the "Camp David Experience!"

Established in 1995

HIKIDS a non-profit organization located in Fort Worth, Texas that met twice a month at the Greenbriar Community Center. The HIKIDS program was initially developed to prevent youth within the Fort Worth community from joining gangs but HIKIDS has evolved throughout the years and now focuses on healthy life change. Our curriculum offers mentoring, tutoring, and team building activities so our students can build a positive self-image. HIKIDS encourages its students to be educational leaders within their schools, improve family dynamics, and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Our Goal

Encourage students to practice leadership roles, help identify unique skills, promote social skills, and develop a level of respect and trust for one another. We teach students to appreciate nature through outdoor observations and exploration. The camp offers a unique environment for students to connect with peers and learn about nature while under the supervision of a staff that is invested in their future.
